SmykWhich LEGO for a girl? Not just Friends
The classic answer is LEGO Friends — the Heartlake City line with houses, a school, a pet salon and an amusement park; the safest gift pick and LEGO's biggest 'girl-coded' series. The second pillar is Disney: castles and heroines from the movies — Elsa, Rapunzel, Moana, Ariel. The youngest fans also love Gabby's Dollhouse. That said, LEGO is for everyone — plenty of girls happily build City, Creator 3-in-1 or animal sets, so follow the child's interests, not the box colour.
Choosing by age: 5, 7 and 9
For a 4-5-year-old pick 4+ rated sets (simple chassis, bigger parts) or Duplo princesses — building must not frustrate. At 6-8 the classic Friends and Disney 6+ sets work best: houses, cafés, campervans, castles. For a 9-year-old and up go for the bigger Friends builds (school, large house), Creator 3-in-1 or first collector sets — and teens increasingly pick LEGO Botanicals flowers that double as room décor.
LEGO princesses: the Disney world in bricks
Disney princess LEGO is its own hugely popular shelf: Elsa's Frozen castle, Rapunzel's tower, Moana's boat, Ariel's underwater world. Small one-heroine boxes cost a few dozen złoty, mid-size castles 150-300 zł, and the big Disney Castle runs several hundred. Minidoll figures are compatible across sets, so the collection grows freely. Compare prices before buying — licensed Disney sets see deep holiday discounts.
