Frequently asked questions

What's the difference between a “retiring” and a “retired” set?
“Retiring soon” means a set LEGO still sells on lego.com but has flagged for retirement. It will disappear from the official lineup before long. “Retired” means a set already unavailable on LEGO.com, which you can only buy from retailers while stock lasts.
Why is it worth buying a retiring LEGO set now?
After a set reaches end of life (EOL), prices for popular LEGO sets on the secondary market rise by as much as 30-200%. By buying a set flagged as retiring, you still catch it at the official, normal price before it vanishes from stores.
